Should you consider selling your home this winter? Here are a few of the things you should know about the market beforehand.
Today I’m answering a question that I hear a lot around this time of year, “Is winter a good time to sell a home?”
The game of supply and demand tells us that there is going to be a lot more of both in the summer. However, many families don’t want to have their homes on the market during the holidays or when it’s cold. If you decide to sell your home during this time of year, here are some of the benefits you’ll see:
1. Decreased competition. As mentioned before, there isn’t much for buyers to choose from around this time of year.
2. More serious buyers. Even though there are fewer buyers, they are still out there. Many of them are looking to get a deal closed by the end the year for various reasons.
All of this adds up to winter being a great time to buy or sell a home. If you are curious as to what type of price your home could fetch at different points of the year, we’d be happy to come out and do a market analysis of your home so that you can make an informed decision.
