Omaha’s 4th Quarter Market Update

    If you’ve been thinking about selling, now may be a perfect time.

    Today we’ll be looking at what’s going on in Omaha’s real estate market in the fourth quarter.

    We’re still in a seller’s market, though it isn’t as strong as we experienced in the second and third quarters. If you’re selling a home between $150,000 and $300,000, you can expect it to be sold pretty quickly. Our average days on market so far this year is seven days. Properties for over $500,000 can be expected to take around 30 to 60 days to sell, depending on how it’s priced and its condition.

    We expect the market to soften a little going into 2019. We’ve seen around a 15% decrease in overall sales, which is largely due to less inventory being available. Our team has hundreds of buyers looking for new homes, but there simply aren’t any to sell.
